 Provincial Bullettin - December 2006

Merry Xmas & Happy New YearMerry Xmas & Happy New Year

Christmas 2006

Christmas is the
celebration of God’s love become incarnate. God who is love (1 John 4:8) has come down to the level of humans becoming one among us in order to elevate us to His level. The Son of God has become Son of Man to transform us human beings and make us the children of God imparting to us the divine nature of love. "See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and that is what we are" (1 John 3:1). Christmas is not simply the celebration of a past event, it is and should be the celebration of this new life given to us, which is the concrete expression of God’s love. It is to the extent that we experience and impart God’s transforming love that Christmas becomes meaningful today. If we believe in God who has become human we should be able to see God in all humans. We will be able to reach Him only through them by loving them and serving them.
